The smart scanner supports single pass, CCD sensor for scanning. It uses Cold Cathode lamp for light source. The maximum interpolated resolution is 9600 dpi and the hardware resolution is 600 x 1200 dpi. It supports 42 bit colour depth.
This scanner is provided with a 14 bit A/D converter. The maximum scan size for reflective output is 8.5 x 11.7 inches and 4 x 5 inches for transparency. The supported scan modes are 24/42 bits per pixel, Gray Scale Mode: 8/14 bits per pixel and Line art Mode: 1 bit/pixel. It supports a scaling of 1 to 1000% in 5% increments.
