The maximum colour depth supported is 48-bit and the maximum grey depth supported is 8-bit (256 grey levels). Enhanced clarity is offered with a maximum horizontal and vertical resolution of 600 dpi. The interface available is USB 2.0 and the unit is PC compatible too. Plustek OpticSlim 550 Flatbed Scanner is compatible with plain paper and supports a maximum media size of A4 (210 mm x 297 mm).
This flatbed scanner functions distinctively ahead of other scanners and supports manual load media feeding. Effective scanning is possible with Contact Image Sensor (CIS) scanning element. Maximum scanning area is 216mm x 150mm (8.5” x 5.9”) and the offered maximum scan speed is 3.4 sec @ 200dpi in colour mode. Single pass is the featured scan mode.
It consumes power of 2.5W (500mA x 5V), making the unit an energy efficient device. OS required are MS Windows XP/2000/Vista.
