Plustek, one of the leaders in the electronic suppliers has now added a new one to its lists of supplies. They have introduced to you the all new Plustek 
Optibook 3600 Scanner with its detailed feature explanations that will match both your budget and your requirement at the same time. This new model is uniquely designed to eliminate the book spine shadow and the distorted text that is the drawback of most of the scanners and copying machines.

• It uses a high speed USB 2.0 connection.
• The speed of scan is as fast as 7 sec for an A4 size for colour scanning or grey scanning or for B/W scanning with 300 dpi of resolution.
• It is also enhanced with a Reversible Reflective Document Mat that is built in the lid of the Scanner.
• Supported with White backing in the case of normal scans, and black backing for auto cropping it again give a clear scanned image for the thinnest pages. Thus covering most of the common problems we are used to in our normal scanners or copying machines.
The scanner from Plustek is provided with an intellilock. This intellilock protects the optical system in the scanner with it’s lock/unlock mechanism, giving more value and security to it. It is designed with Ergonomic desktop design that is helpful for stress free working with the scanner. One can transfer the images saved to CDs or VCDs with much ease and the Book Pilot software provided with the scanner helps in storing and arranging the images scanned with ease categorizing it for its easy retrieval.
It is a Flatbed Scanner with an optical scan resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi, and has a maximum scan resolution of 24000 x 24000 dpi. This Plustek Optibook 3600 Scanner works on Microsoft Windows 98/ME/2000/XP.
The maximum colour depth supported is 48 bit and that of Gray depth is 16 bit. It has to be loaded manually and it supports plain papers along with bulk objects like books. It is compatible with PCs and uses a Colour CCD image sensor technology for its scanning. There are a few action buttons provided for its easy use. For regular scanning one gets to use the action buttons that supports Custom, E-mail, Copy, OCR and Scan button active. In the case of book scan the action buttons that are active are the Book Pilot, Preview, colour scan, greyscale scan, and the text scan buttons.
The scan mode is Single Pass Scanning and has a Cold Cathode Lamp in it. The amount of power consumption is 18W while it is operating and 4.3W while it is idle. The maximum scanning area provided by this Plustek Optibook 3600 Scanner is 216 x 297 mm that is equivalent to an A4 letter size or 8.5” x 11.69”. The cable length it gives is 150 cm or 59.06” and has a dimension of 4.1 x 11.2 x 17.8 (H x W x D) inches.
