Microtek ScanMaker 9800XL Flatbed Scanner is a desktop scanner supporting optical scanning resolution of 3200 x 1600 dpi. It is a flatbed scanner and comes with an optional transparency media adapter which can scan transparencies including X-rays. This finest scanning device scans documents with superior clarity and colour depth. It is PC and Mac compatible and has film scanning capability as well.
The elegant unit has CCD scan element and supports 48 bit colour depth and 16-bit grey scale depth. Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp is the light source of the device. The maximum optical density of the scanner is 3.7 D. Media types that are supported by this scanner are plain paper, transparencies, films and slides. It can scan 35 mm slides, 35 mm filmstrip and 120 films. The maximum media size is 304.8 x 431.8 mm and the media is loaded manually. The connectivity interfaces included in it are firewire, USB and SCSI-2.
