It scans colour pages at a high resolution of 600 x 600 dpi and can do so in a single or duplex pass mode. The scanner works on the CCD technology and uses a Xenon gas cold cathode fluorescent lamp as light source. This Kodak product is can scan black & white and greyscale with a speed of 30ppm at 200 dpi in single pass mode and 60ppm in duplex mode, with a 3000 scans per day duty cycle. It can handle plain paper documents with sizes A4 and up to 263 x 864mm. It uses Autoload feature which can feed up to 50 sheets, the feeder capacity being 75 sheets.
The Kodak I1220 Desktop Scanner uses 1 x Hi-Speed USB – 4 PIN USB Type B interface to get connected. It also complies with TWAIN, ISIS standards for scanner drivers. It consumes a nominal 40 watts of power using a standard AC 120/230V (50/60 Hz) supply and reduces consumption to 6 watts on standby mode, saving electricity.
It works with the latest operating system from Microsoft, Windows Vista and requires at least Windows 2000/XP to work.
