Epson presents you the new Epson Perfection 4870 Photo Scanner with advanced imaging features. It offers high speed performance and quality. This product can be used for both commercial and domestic purposes. The flatbed scanner is provided with 16- bit greyscale depth and 48 bit colour depth. The optical resolution is 4800 dpi x 9600 dpi and the interpolated resolution is 12800 dpi x 12800 dpi.
This Epson scanner supports manual load of media. It can hold maximum document size of 216 mm x 297 mm. The supported document types include transparencies, plain paper, bulk objects and film. The light source is Xe-gas cold cathode fluorescent lamp. CCD scan element is provided in it. The unit allows single pass scan mode. This photo scanner has 3.8D scan density.
The unit provides 14 sec/scan for monochrome documents and 20 sec/scan for colour. Interfaces include one 4 pin high speed USB type B and one 6 pin IEEE 1394.
