Canon PIXMA MP260 Scanner

Canon PIXMA MP260 Scanner can be termed as a multifunctional device rather than just a scanner. Apart from scanning, the unit can print and copy too. With compact dimensions of Width 44.4 cm, Depth 33.1 cm and Height 15.5 cm and weight of 5.6 kg, space saving storage is made possible. Ink-jet is the printing technology supported and produces colour prints. Canon FINE is the Inkjet Technology featured.

CIS is the scanning element supported and it supports an optical resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi and interpolated resolution of 19200 x 19200 dpi. The supported grey scale depth is 16 bit, colour depth is 24 bit and the colour depth (Internal) is 48 bit. This scanner supports a maximum original size of 216 x 297 mm. Supported media types include envelopes, plain paper, cards, labels and photo paper.

Borderless photo sizes supported are ANSI A (Letter) (216 x 279 mm), A4 (210 x 297 mm), A5 (148 x 210 mm), B5 (176 x 250 mm) and 130 x 180 mm. Standard media capacity of the scanner is 100 sheets. Push-scan and auto scan modes are featured.

Digital is the copier type. It supports a copy weight of minimum 64 g/m2 to a maximum of 300 g/m2. Maximum copying speed is rated as up to 19ppm (mono) and up to 15ppm (colour). Maximum printing resolution is 4800 x 1200 dpi (colour) and supports a maximum printing speed of up to 19ppm (mono) and up to 15ppm (colour). Cyan, magenta, yellow and black are the ink palette supported. Minimum ink droplet size is 2pl.

Hi-Speed USB is the PC connection available. The supported OS includes MS Windows XP, MS Windows 2000, MS Windows Vista and Apple Mac OS X 10.3.9 - 10.5.x. It comes bundled with software such as Canon Easy-PhotoPrint EX and Canon MP Navigator EX.
